St. Vincent Pallotti Central School, Ollukkara - Thrissur, is the realization of a great dream of St. Vincent Pallotti to impart knowledge to the ordinary people and create a society of active and effective people. The pioneer Indian Pallottines cherished the dream of their founder in their mind and waited for an opportune time and suitable place. Finally the dream was contextualized in our own soil. It was Rev. Fr. Thomas Kuttianickal, the pioneer Pallottine in the archdiocese of Thrissur who purchased the piece of land attached to the property of Pallotti Bhavanam with the intention of opening an educational institution in the year 2005 . Later Rev. Fr. George Jacob, the First Manager, who initiated the works of opening a school attached to St. Joseph Church. It was in the year 2005 we began the school formally. Under the guidance of Rev. Fr. George Jacob the school began grew to a remarkable standard. When Rev. Fr. Antony Roswan took over the charge in the year 2009, affiliation and construction of the new school block was the main thrust. With new new block was partially made ready for conducting classes in the year 2010. Rev. Fr. Joah Paul took over the charge of Principal from Mr. Jose Cyriac in the year 2013. The construction of the new block was geared up the arrival of Rev. Fr. Antony Kaithaparambil who took charge as the new Manager in the year 2013 May. St. Vincent Pallotti Central School is a a co-educational English Medium School managed and run by Jeevan Vikas Trust - Aluva, a Trust constituted by Pallottine Fathers. The school belongs to the Epiphany Province of Pallottine Fathers (Prabhu Prakash Province) with its head quarters at Nagpur (www.napallottines.org). At present Very Rev. Fr. Varghese Pullan is the Provincial Superior of Epiphany Province Nagpur. The management hopes and strives to make this institution a unique cradle of education par excellence in a most conducive atmosphere with the best of facilities. The syllabus followed here is prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. Mission statement: "TO ENLIGHTEN ALL" A person is to be in the light , if he or she is able to recognize others a his/her own brothers and sisters, if not the person is in darkness and is ignorant. Ignorance of oneself i s the deepest darkness. it is education that helps a person to be free himself or herself from the clutches of darkness and ignorance in oneself. Our school with the mission statement ," To Enlighten all" tries to imbibe in every child self knowledge and awareness. A person with self knowledge has light in himself or herself, only a person who has light within can enlighten others. Thus the school in its endeavours aims at making every child a little lamp in this world who can enlighten others in turn. Besides developing .the minds of the students, aims of the school is to inculcate in them such qualities as would make them patriotic ,upright and honest citizens. For this purpose , along with academic subjects, general principles of morality and good behavior are taught. Pallottine Fathers , an International Religious Society founded by St. Vincent Pallotti in the year 1835. The Generalate of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate is in Rome. Very Rev. Fr. Jacob Nambudagam is the present Rector General. The Society has to its credit, a number of prestigious educational institutions in different parts of the country.
